A Bit About Me

As an artist I have been trying to share paintings of Famous landscapes. My goal is to transport the observers to these places from my perspective. Starting with my urban landscapes I have developed a style of taking reference from my photography and expanding on it to display” the way I see it” ...

I have been inspired by the Hudson River school artist. As a child I would look at their images in the History books at school then to look them up in the library these small pictures moved me before personal computers where there to look at them to see the grandeur of these pieces

later in life. I was years later able to see them in person at the national gallery in Washington the Haggen Museum in Stockton ca. the Crocker Museum in Sacramento Ca. to see works Albert Bierstadt or the Pasadena Museum of California art to see the works of Edger Alwin Payne

Which lead me to move to central California to paint in Yosemite and sequoia/kings canyon National parks And the central coast this lead to my largest Mural to date in the Sierra Nevada town of Oakhurst California, based on the concept of a tourist map and a Yosemite panorama painting of mine.  I was allowed to make a fun statement of Oakhurst and surrounding  towns landmarks.

I have been fortunate to paint Traffic Control boxes for the city of Glendale California. The city of Mendota California for Caltrans

I have been inspired to paint by my mentors Alexandra Kube for her immense talent in all art forms and getting me to pick up the brushes and start painting again. Eul Hurley for taking expressionism and subject matter to the next level ,without their inspiration and support I would have never found this art form so accessible.

I hope to be able to inspire others in the same way

Thanks for your interest in my body of work
